Call and setting apart

We opened our call on April 2, 2019.  We are called to the North Dakota Bismarck mission. We will be working with the Native Americans.  We invited people over to watch us open our call.  We had a nice evening.

As we got ready to go, we found out that we would be serving in the Eagle Butte, South Dakota Branch.  There are 400 members on the records with only about 20 attending church.  It is in the poorest county in the United States.  There is a severe drug and alcohol problem.  In the winter there is  a 92% unemployment rate.  Sounds like we have our work cut out for us.

We were set apart on May 5, 2019.  President Todd Mortensen set us apart.  Gary was blessed that the kids at home will be blessed.  He was blessed with spiritual strength and revelation and that he would love the people.  He was also blessed to be physically strong and have good health on his mission.  He was blessed that feelings and experiences of the first mission will come back.  He was blessed that we would be safe and the car would work well.  Roberta was blessed that she would be of help especially to the sisters.  Some she knew in the preexistence and would know it when they see each other. Promises were made that she would find and help them.  Her nurturing ability would continue to bless her.  Her body would regenerate while she sleeps.  She needs to know her limits and then she would be ok.  Kids and grandkids would be blessed from our service. Much much more we can't remember.  If anyone has anything to add, please chime in.
